She received her post-graduate and medical degrees from her native India where she went on to teach and practice psychiatry until her residencies at SUNY and Yale. Research and a VA Medical Center psychopharmacology fellowship led to her current teaching and practice at Yale medical school. Dr. Gupta is a national and international speaker and her original research on diverse topics is widely published in peer-reviewed journals.
